Some forms are dwarf with swollen internodes used as bonsai or small specimens when plant in pot, while others revert to a nice giant form when planted in ground. This bamboo is a very drought hardy as well as wet tolerant plant once established. It can be prune at any height to form a very dense privacy screen to completely block off the view from your neighbor. This plant can quickly become the largest plant mass in a landscape under ideal growing conditions! A very beautiful specie as a background with its dense evergreen foilages.
